In order to ensure the safety of electronic products, their quality must meet relevant standards before they are put on the market. In addition, relevant certificates must be obtained according to the occasion of use; for example, in flammable and explosive gas/dust environments, explosion-proof certification must be carried out to ensure that the products meet national explosion-proof standards.


For some basic electronic products placed in dangerous places, it is only necessary to apply for an explosion-proof certificate. The relevant application process is as follows:


1. Application preparation: Relevant materials need to be prepared, including the company's business license, unit power of attorney, application letter and other corporate certificates; corporate quality assurance certificate. If the company has passed the ISO9000 series certification, a copy of the ISO9000 series certification can be provided; technical information, such as corporate standards or technical requirements, product drawings, instruction manuals, etc. All technical information should be in duplicate and stamped with official seals. For specific products, such as intrinsically safe electrical equipment, it is also necessary to provide general assembly drawings, circuit schematics, printed circuit board drawings, silk screen drawings, component material lists and nameplate drawings, etc. If the product has a plastic shell, the material and corresponding performance documents of the plastic should also be provided. In addition, it is also necessary to prepare samples for the application of explosion-proof certificates.


2. Submit application: Submit the prepared materials to the explosion-proof testing and inspection center for application.


3. Document review: The laboratory will review the technical materials submitted by the enterprise to ensure that the materials are complete and accurate.


4. Samples for inspection: After the materials are reviewed, the enterprise needs to submit samples for inspection. The samples submitted for inspection must be consistent with the product drawings provided.


5. Laboratory review test: The laboratory will test the samples submitted for inspection. The test items generally include explosion test, high temperature test, 6. Protection level test, etc. Only after passing these tests can the product obtain an explosion-proof certificate.


7. Certificate issuance: If the product meets the requirements of relevant standards, it can obtain an explosion-proof certificate.


It should be noted that the processing cycle of the explosion-proof certificate may be long, so the enterprise needs to make a good certificate planning and leave ample time. At the same time, when applying for an explosion-proof certificate, the enterprise must also ensure that the sample submitted for inspection is consistent with the audit drawing and fully assembled, and the number of inspection units should meet the requirements. If there are special disassembly and assembly tools, they should be sent together.
